She was and will always be the love of my life. We had 14.5 amazing years together, which i know I should be grateful for. Probably one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to do is leave my girl’s body for the last time. The people at Petrichor could not have made the experience any more honorable and loving. We were brought into a beautiful and peaceful room where they placed her body (and bed we carried her in on) on a long wake table. They said they didn’t have another appointment for a few hours and that i could stay with my girl for as long as i needed, which was so incredibly important for me. I got to hold onto her for the last time. Leaving her was so painful, but I knew that she was in the best care possible. I had laid flowers around her body which I asked them to save, and they did, as I wanted to spread them somewhere, along with her effluent from the Aquamation process. They went above and beyond, and were so gentle and considerate with both me and my girl. We drove all the way up from the Cape to go here, and it was absolutely worth it for both the peace of mind, and the care that they took with her body and the whole process.
