We were able to be present with my beloved animal companion’s body with a funeral on site in their comfortable and home-like family room. We were able to be with her body until the final moment and then received personal updates on every step of the process. The caring and compassionate end of life service they provided gave me peace of mind while fulfilling my promise to my dog, to take care of her body after she left. We had our sweet girl cookie cremated here and the staff were caring and understanding. At first we were worried about how much it would cost for the service but they let us know that we were able to make separate payments which really helped us out. It was one of the hardest moments of my life, but the compassion and care we received from Petrichor Aquamation helped make an incredibly painful experience just a little more bearable. They were recommended by the veterinarian who performed Kiala’s at-home euthanasia, and I couldn’t be more grateful for that recommendation. I was told to expect about a two-week turnaround for her aquamation and keepsakes, so I was pleasantly surprised when everything was ready in just one week. Being able to bring her home sooner than expected meant the world to me. We were able to pick up Kiala on a weekend, which is such a rare convenience, and Shannon took the time to walk us through each of the keepsakes we had ordered. Both Joe and Shannon were incredibly kind, professional, compassionate, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. Their communication was excellent, and I always felt like Kiala was being treated with the dignity and love she deserved. A few weeks later, we also received her digital paw print, which I deeply appreciate since I plan to use it for a future memorial tattoo. I can’t recommend Petrichor Aquamation highly enough. Losing a beloved pet is heartbreaking, but knowing they are in such caring hands brings so much comfort.
